11-1-Apparently I cannot update shows on myspace anymore at least not from the computer I'm working
on. It's really frigging irritating. This site is up to date though. There is also now an offical www.marcusrubio.com
10-13- I have gone faaarrr toooo long without updating this website. A lot has happened since the
last time. I'm doing lots of shows playing solo and doing sideman work with a fantastic variety of artists all of whom I love.
And Rhapsody In Plaid is done! You should totally buy a copy. I'm playing Flipnotics in Austin with Matt The Electrician tonight!

1-12-06-Well happy new year everyone. I'm sorry I haven't kept very up to date with this thing,
always check the myspace page from now on, I update there much more frequently(and there are much cooler and more recent pictures
there too)the url is myspace.com/marcusrubio. Some cool things are coming up this month,
Fralos show and an awesome bill at the Lounge At Ave.B! Some great things happened in December, I played one of the greatest
shows of my life at Justin Parr's art opening, I got an article written about me in Rumbo,and I got to play with one
of my heroes and dear friends Jon Dee Graham. The CD is nearing finish, it's up to 16 songs, a lush chamber pop album with
alt country, blues and indie thrown in for good measure so do not fear, the violin album will be done soon!

Man, I haven't updated in FOREVER. I guess I've just spend more time on my other pages and
kind of forgotten about this one, I'm sorry I neglected and abused you website I won't let it happen agian. Anyways, I've
got some really cool gigs coming up in September, a first Friday, some shows with my pal Butch Morgan and his bands, and even
an Austin Gig with one of my heroes/friends Matt The Electrician! I've also been doing some recording with Joe Reyes for another
album that' going to either be titled "She's An Egg" or "Rhapsody In Plaid". The songs are sounded great, it's like the record
I've always wanted to make. They're all fleshed out by acoustic and electric guitars,violins,mandolins,banjos, ukes,pianos
and all kinds of other instruments making uncoventional pop music. Anyways please come out to a show, through out the fall
I'm selling CDs for only $5 a night so it's a heck of a deal.

My album is now offically available from this website or from any of my shows! (I may be a little
biased but)It came out FANTASTIC in every way possible! I'd like to thabk the fine folks at Affordable Sound(www.affordablesound.com) for doing such a great job pressing the CD and putting My artwork on it too!

I just picked up the final master copy of my CD today and will be getting it pressed very shortly.
I want to say that Ronnie Morales did a FANTASTIC job mastering it. I may be a little biased but it sounds great! A good mix
of country, folk, blues and psychedelic pop music with brillaint lyrics if I do say so myself and I hope when you hear it
you'll think the same I will post when it is for sale.

I'm in negotiations with my ex-bandmate Zach Townsehnd to do a video for the upcoming album. I don't
if this will actually go through but hopefully it will. I got a gig with Butch at Casbeers tonight,it should be fun I've gotten
a lot of promotion for it.
